Satan's Creativity
Have you ever had to choose between two very different, but very wonderful things? It is easy to see that the bad temptations that Satan throws at us each day, things like smoking, drugs, not going to church, being immoral, etc. But Satan can also tempt us to choose something that will be good for us over something that will be amazing for us! What am I talking about? You all know that I am planning on a mission!! I am so so excited to be going and each time I get a blessing or pray about it, I get the most amazing witness that I am making the right choice. So why, then, did I meet a guy on the very day that I started my paper work? I have been throwing these two parts of my life around in my head for the last little while. And my conclusion is... Satan is an intelligent guy. He knows more about the power and influence I will have on my mission than I do!! So instead of losing sight of my first goal, and focusing on another worthy goal, I am staying strong. I refuse to let Satan win!!! It will all work out how it should if I follow the promptings that I am given! I love the Lord and give Him my full trust!!

Life is Full of Surprises!
I have this habit of planning out how my life should be. That's not a bad thing, but it has made me realizes that the sayings that go around about life, have a lot of truth in them. For example, "Life is full of little surprises" and "Plan for the unexpected". It seems like these kinds of phrases are what describe my life perfectly!
How have they described my life? Well, I never planned on going on a mission. I thought I would be planning a wedding soon. And I thought I would become a doctor. All three of those parts in my life have changed so drastically in the last month. Adjusting to my change in life decisions has been easier than I thought and I'm so glad that I have changed in the ways that I have. I recently met a friend playing volleyball. We have really hit it off and he is helping me prepare for my mission immensely!! I can't believe how much the Lord has blessed me! Life is great!! And I really love surprises!!!

Who Needs Sleep?!
Next week is spring break and I can hardly believe that the semester is more than half over. I think there are roughly five weeks left. With each week of school that passes I think I get less and less sleep. A lot of people may say that this is because there is a steady increase in the amount of homework. Although they may be right, this isn't necessarily the case for me. You see, I've become quite a pro at procrastinating. I don't mean to but it always seems like I leave all of my work until THE LAST possible moment. I must defend myself though. The last two months have held so much of what will shape my life in the future that I can't really focus on something as trivial as school. Haha. Just Kidding. School is very important to me, but I think more long term when it comes to school. This isn't usually bad until something in my life takes more of an immediate precedence over school. A few of these things are my Best Friend coming home from his mission and deciding to be Best Friends instead of something more. Also, since it didn't work out that I would be settling down this year, my decision to serve a mission is kind of distracting. I just can't seem to focus when I know that my paperwork is basically done. I'm just waiting for my doctor's appointment and dentist appointment to be done. Maybe after this week I will be able to focus because my paperwork will be in and all I will need to do is wait! In the mean time I will continue to try and figure out how to function fully without sleep. :) I love Life!!

Called to Serve Him
Well, it has been a crazy month. But today I finally told my family about a secret I have been holding in for the last 8 days! What is this secret?? You probably already guessed it from the title of this blog but I'll tell you anyways. I AM GOING TO SERVE AN LDS MISSION!!! I can't tell you how strongly I know that this is the most important thing I need to be doing right now. I'm trying to get my paper work in this week so that I can get my call ASAP. I will keep you all posted!!
P.S. I love the Gospel!!

Blessing Power
Well life is going really well now. I have been making new changes in what I should do with my life. I started to have a few doubts about what I might be leaving behind with my new path in life. I was getting all worked up about it all, so last night I asked for a father's blessing. It is wonderful to be able to have my dad close to me to give me blessings! Down at Snow I had a friend give me blessings when I needed it, but its totally different when it comes from my dad! This blessing was so amazing! It calmed many of my troubles and told me to be patient for the rest of my life to happen. Hahaha. I guess I am just anxious to know how life will turn out. It's good to remember that I need to live in the present and only plan for the future! I love the Gospel of God with all my soul!!! I'm so grateful for His loving hand in my life! I hope you all can feel Him too!
