July 25

So this week I am writing from a new area. Yup, I got transferred. I am now in Coatepeque, Coatepeque. I am with Hna Rojas from El Salvador. This is her last transfer and then she will be going home. I was nervous to "kill" someone on the mission because sometimes they don't like to work. But we both are excited for the work that is waiting for us. We are both new to the area so this week has been filled with getting to know the streets and limits. If you want to know what it is like then go to a new city, open the phonebook, and try to find the people on the first page. Hahaha. It has been a great time and I have seen the Lord helping us and enlightening our minds. The ward I am in is super small.... It reminds me of Grandma and Grandpa's ward in Dayton. Yesterday only 60 people showed up. I am looking forward to seeing the Lord work miracles in this new area. This area is also SUPER HOT!!! I just walk out the door and I start to sweat. Hahaha. I just might lose weight here.... If it is possible. I has to force myself to drink a lot of pure water. I have realized that I truly am not a fan of water. I prefer juice, milk, or anything with flavor. Hahaha.

I will send you a pic of me and my comp next week. Do any of you have questions?? It is easier for me to give details if I know what you want to know.

This is a pic of me and the jersey I won for baptizing a family. Sariah asked how many baptisms have I had... I am working hard and I haven't hit my goal. I am close to 20 and my goal is 25... Take a guess.... How many do you think??

I love you all,

Hi there,

How is everyone doing?? I am doing good. First off I just want to say sorry because the computer I am using doesn't work really... So once again no pictures. Sorry!!!

I am doing pretty good. These last two months have been a very hard for me. I am learning a whole lot but through trails. That is how life is supposed to be. I have many questions and the answers can only be found in my future. One thing that the Spirit taught me this week is that God always answers our questions... Asked or unasked. A small example of this... Just like at home, when people here want to sell a car they write on the windows of the cars. They also use abbreviations and such. The problem with that for me is that I don't always understand. One time I asked my companion what something meant and she didn't know. I didn't think to ask Gad about it because it felt like something unimportant. Well as I was walking in the street this week I saw a car for sell and instead of abbreviations it had all the words written out. I was able to make the connection with my question from a few months ago to that moment. I quickly gave thanks to the Lord for answering even my smallest questions. It wasn't in the moment that I had asked the question, but it was in His time. I am so grateful for God's watchful hand guiding me. I know that if He answers such tiny doubts that I have, then He will answer the HUGE questions I have rolling around in my head. The key is having patience and continuing in the gospel.

I hope that you all can find the trust that you need in the Lord. He is here with us and loves us!! I know without a doubt that He wants to and will help in times of need! Or in times of happiness too.

I love you all. I miss hearing from you.... I hope I can get an email soon....

Love,

Hi from Guatemala,

I sure hope that everyone is doing great!! I am doing much better this week. I am learning a lot about the Lord's timing and the Lord's will!! I have seen the Lord's Spirit guiding and protecting me in many different parts of my life. Just to be clear, there haven't been any physical dangers in my life. I just am much more aware of the spiritual dangers of the world.

I had a Sisters conference this week. I was great!!! I will have to send you pictures next week. Send me a reminder so I don't forget, haha. I learned a ton about the Atonement and the importance of eternal marraige! I hope that you all know how much the Savior loves you!! One part of the Conference we have an activity. This time the activity was going to Xetulul (shetulul). It is an amusement part in Reu. It was a fun time and I can see how much the President cares for the sisters in the mission. I was the on that conducted the first day of the two-day conference. As I sat by the President and his wife they made the joke (only so I could hear) that I was to be the next AP... Hahaha. Not possible!! First I am a sister and second I have so much more to learn!!

I hope you all are enjoying the summer vactions. Here all the kids are still in school...

Love you all.

July 4

Hello,

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! I hope you are all having a great holiday.

I can't tell you how hard it is for me to be writting today. I got a few pictures of the wedding and I want so bad to be there. I know that I will be blessed but I don't see how... Sometimes waiting is hard. Analaine is starting a new part in her life and I am nowhere near to share it with her. No one else is allowed to get married without me!!!!!! It hurts my heart too much. But please don't think that I resent coming on my mission. I am SO HAPPY for my sister and new brother-in-law. Please send them my congrats! I'm sure they won't see this email.

This week was filled with growth for me. I realized that the Lord is waiting to bless me. All I need to do is have an open heart and ask for His help. I had a conference with the president and it was great!!! I know that he is called of God!!! I received many answers to many prayers. I also know that the President knows me more than almost anyone. God has given him the ability to counsel me in the perfect way.

I hope you all have the faith big enough to let Christ work miracles in your heart.

I don't have more to say right now...

Love,
